NO SCHOOL MONDAY SEPTEMBER 6th!!!
Entertainment book sale ends September 8th. If your child does not plan on selling it, please send it back to class with them!! If they do sell it, they need to bring the money back to class!
Check your student’s HW EVERY night. Make sure they are reading or being read to each night for at least 15 minutes. We will be reading decodable readers in class and then they will be sent home. Keep these at home; they are great books for the students to be reading. I will start sending home a reading log next week. These will need to be filled out each night and returned to school EVERY Friday.
Work on their spelling words with them every night. When EVERY student gets a 100% on the spelling test, I will throw them a pizza party!! You can also help them put the words in ABC order; we have done this in class a few times.
Assessments and spelling tests are on Fridays. For spelling tests I give a point for each word spelled correctly, 1 pt. for upper case letters where needed, 1 pt. for punctuation marks, and 1 pt. for spacing between words.
If you would like to volunteer in the classroom, please send me a note letting me know what days and times you are available to come in. I would like volunteers to be able to start coming in next week.

September 14th- Fall pictures (students must wear their uniform)
